Second baby of 2009 born to Lake in the Hills parents

A Lake in the Hills woman gave birth early Thursday morning to the second baby born in McHenry County in the new year.

Gina Mary Moorshead was born at 6:03 a.m. at Centegra Hospital - Woodstock and weighed in at 2 pounds, according to a press release from Centegra Health Systems. The infant girl was born to parents Nicole Carmack and Chad Moorshead of Lake in the Hills.

Centegra Health Systems President and CEO Michael Eesley presented the mom and dad with gifts from the hospital Thursday afternoon.

The first baby born in McHenry County in 2009 was Gwyneth Natschke. She was born at 1:26 a.m. to parents Adenike and Karl Natschke of Fox Lake.
