Encore performances of "Let the Games Begin"

The turnout at Theater Undreground's debut performance was so overwhelming that the local group will have two encore performances of "Let the Games Begin" at 8 p.m. this Friday and Saturday.

Tickets are $8 and can be reserved by e-mailing Tim Mosbach at moosebog@gmail.com, or calling 815-206-4759. It's highly recomended that people reserve their seats because the last performance was sold out. The show will be performed at Memorial Hall Civic Theatre, 10308 Main St., in Richmond.

"Let the Games Begin" is a six-scene, one-act play about the communication struggles in relationships. It's based on a couple who visit a store showroom to lease a relationship interpreter. And if you read my January story about the group, it's also performed by local talent. The play was by Colleen Bryan-Forstrom of Crystal Lake, directed by Tim Mosbach of Woodstock, and the music is by Ian Hall of Woodstock.
