Cary-Grove High School will welcome back several former students for a jazz concert tonight.

The Jim Tashjian Group, featuring Cary-Grove graduates and brothers Jim, Pete and John Tashjian, will return to the school on Thursday, June 4, to perform as guest artists at the Cary-Grove Jazz Combo Concert.

The Cary-Grove High School Jazz Combo, under the direction of Patrick Whalen, is set to perform along with the Jim Tashjian Group.

The concert is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. in room C2, the studio theater. Tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for students. The event is free for students with a Cary-Grove High School activity pass.

Jim Tashjian is a recent graduate of the Chicago College of Performing Arts, where he majored in jazz studies. He also performs in the Chicago area with District 97, a progressive metal group.
