Anything is possible

To the Editor:

On Aug. 1, I emceed Walla-Pa-Looza, a cancer benefit for the American Cancer Society and the Bionda/Woods family.

This event was hosted and headed by Craig and Joanne Wallace who, along with an incredible group of hard-working volunteers, donors and corporate sponsors, worked to bring this benefit to life in a phenomenal eight weeks from dream to reality.

We could not have pulled this off without the help of Village President Ed Hetterman and the village of Johnsburg, Doug Carlile of the Johnsburg Community Club, the Woodstock Infantry Club, Northwest Herald, the bands Blush, Peter and the Versailles, Danny and the Devils, Always Frantic, our donors and corporate sponsors, our incredible volunteers who did not hesitate to help and give up their lives the past eight weeks, and, most importantly, the community that came out to support us. Even when it looked like rain, they still came out in force. That is a testament to their heart.

For all of us involved in this benefit, we are humbled and thankful for your generosity.

Anything is possible.
