Residents of Del Webb Neighborhood 23 will host a food drive Sunday for the Grafton Township Food Pantry in conjunction with their annual picnic.

The event will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. off of Hemmer Road near Huntley High School.

Participants are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert to share. Chicken and hot dogs will be served. Several games also will be played, including bingo, bags and bocce ball.

About 60 raffle prizes will be available for gift certificates, handmade goods and other items.

For every three non-perishable food items a resident brings, they will receive a raffle ticket. Tickets also can be purchased for $1 each or six for $5.

All proceeds benefit the food pantry.

Residents that cannot stay for the event are still encouraged to stop by and donate unwanted non-perishables.
