D-158 talks expansion survey, admin evaluations
District 158 school board members discussed tonight taking another look at surveying residents about the potential need for expanding Huntley High School.
The idea was temporarily shelved in Februrary, but the school board might move forward with the process of developing the survey next month. The survey questions could be completed within another two months, but school board members suggested mailing it to residents sometime during late spring, allowing ample time for community response after winter vacations.
"I think probably now is the right time to start the process," board member Kevin Gentry said.
For more information on the survey, you can read a story I wrote when it was last discussed here.
District officials also announced tonight that they are currently testing what they call "360-degree evaluations" for administrators and supervisors. The school board had previously suggested using such an anonymous developmental tool for employees to provide performance feedback outside the standard evaluation process.
