Celebrate Huntley High's homecoming
Community members are invited to join in the festivities of Huntley High School's annual homecoming celebration.
This year's theme is "Masquerade Ball."
The first event – Powder Puff Football – will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Huntley High School football fields, located at 13719 Harmony Road. Freshman women will take on the sophomores at 4 p.m., while juniors will face the undefeated seniors at 6 p.m. Concession stands will be open.
Next Thursday, the annual homecoming parade will line up at 5:15 p.m. at Huntley Village Hall, 10987 Main Street. The parade will kick off at 6 p.m. and travel west on Main Street and end at Woodstock Street. Community groups wishing to participate should contact Jamie Kruse at jkruse@district158.org or 847-659-6734.
On Friday (Sept. 18), students will participate in an afternoon pep rally where all fall sports teams are honored and football will be highlighted as "Event of the Hour."
The homecoming game will take place at 7:15 p.m. against the Woodstock Blue Streaks. The homecoming court, along with their parents, will be presented during half-time of the varsity game. A new addition this year will be a fireworks show after the varsity game.
Saturday will feature the annual dance held in the east gym at Huntley High School.
