LifeSource offers incentives for blood donors
This month those who donate blood can get a chance to win tickets to see Dave Matthews Band perform.
LifeSource is offering the promotion through Sept. 22, according to a press release. Blood can be donated in Crystal Lake at the Community Donor Center, 5577 Route 14.
The center is open from noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. It is open from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Fridays and from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Appointments are appreciated, but walk-ins are also welcome.
Donors must be at least 17-years-old and weigh 110 pounds. Sixteen-year-olds may donate with permission from a parent. Those interested in donating blood should remember to bring identification and eat a beforehand.
LifeSource is giving away 15 pairs of tickets to the Saturday, Sept. 26 Dave Matthews Band concert at Tinley Park. Donors can also get a free cholesterol screening.
