Celebrate Huntley library's anniversary
The event will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and include tours, displays, light refreshments, and music from both Adam Huff, an adjunct guitar instructor at Judson University, and young local violinist Sofiya Kyrylyuk. Past and current library trustees also will present a short program about the library district's history.
Register by Sept. 30 by calling 847-669-5386 ext. 20. The reception is open to adults and will be located at the library, 11000 Ruth Rd., Huntley. Business casual attire is suggested.
During the following week, children may also partake in the library's birthday celebration:
• 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 3, enjoy magic and balloon artist Ray Scheff.
• Oct. 5, drop in to make a party hat craft while supplies last.
• Oct. 6-8, notice the birthday theme in regularly scheduled Pajamaramas and Story Times.
• 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 9, get your face painted in the Children's Room and visit a petting zoo on the library lawn.
• Oct. 10, pick up a goody bag and take-home craft in the Children's Room while supplies last.
