Area physicians to speak about parenting
Want to know more about that first year of life as a parent?
Centegra Health System is hosting a free parenting lecture series beginning Thursday with "The First Year of Life," a presentation about basic infant care and how to keep your baby safe and healthy. Speakers include Centegra pediatricians Laura Larkner, Laura Buthod and Laurie Louthain.
The event is scheduled to take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the conference room at Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center, 10450 Algonquin Road, Huntley. Those interested in attending this and future lectures are asked to RSVP at 877-CENTEGRA (236-8347).
Future lectures include a presentation on the "terrible twos" from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, also at at the Health Bridge Fitness Center. Pediatricians Laura Bianconi, Pat Nofzinger, Dana Hartwigsen and Jennifer Suh will talk about ways to teach toddlers to express themselves.
And from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, also at the fitness center, the series will feature "how to survive the teen years." Pediatricians Mike Gronberg, Joanne Knapik and Dave Halstead will share ideas about parenting adolescents.
