Cutler shrugs off T.O. talk

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler had no interest in lobbying for embattled Buffalo Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens during his news conference Wednesday afternoon.

Owens, 35, has one touchdown and 12 receptions in five games with Buffalo this season. Some observers have wondered whether the Bills might try to move him after a 1-4 start.

What would Cutler say if the Bears asked him about the possibility of acquiring Owens?

"I don’t think they’re going to [ask]," Cutler said. "I think they’re going to keep that upstairs."

Would they not ask Cutler because they think he's happy with his current receivers?

"Mmm-mm-mmm," Cutler shrugged in "I don't know" fashion.

Had he texted or tweeted Owens?

"I don't know T.O.," he said.

How about watching Owens' reality show on VH1?

"I did, actually, a few times," Cutler said. "It was humorous."

So was the exchange between news-starved reporters and the Bears franchise quarterback on Wednesday.
