Harris won't play Sunday

Bears defensive tackle Tommie Harris was ruled inactive before Sunday's game and will not play against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Harris missed practice all week because of soreness in his right knee. Second-year defensive tackle Marcus Harrison is expected to make his second career start with Harris sidelined.

Besides Harris, the Bears ruled seven other players inactive for Sunday's game in order to reach the 45-man gameday roster. Those seven players include Adrian Peterson, Jarron Gilbert, Matt Toeaina, Lance Louis, Pisa Tinoisamoa, D.J. Moore and Juaquin Iglesias.

Nick Roach is expected to start at middle linebacker Sunday, while Hunter HIllenmeyer will return from a rib injury to start at strong-side linebacker.

For the Bengals, Pro Bowl safety Roy Williams was ruled inactive because of an arm injury that kept him out of practice all week. That could be good news for Bears quarterback Jay Cutler as he prepares to face the 28th-ranked pass defense in the NFL.

The Bears will wear blue pants and white jerseys today, while the Bengals will wear black pants and black jerseys.
