Jaycee Park trees to get some holiday cheer

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

Jaycee Park Trail in Cary could use a little holiday cheer and the Cary Park District is offering locals the opportunity to help out.

Groups, clubs, neighborhoods, businesses and families can register to decorate the trees that will line the trail at Jaycee Park, the 15-acre site located along Silver Lake and Cary-Algonquin Roads.

Registration will cost $25. Groups will be responsible for providing their own decorations, putting them up, and taking them down. The trees will stay up for about three weeks.

Decorating is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 12. Registration is required and can be done at the Community Center, 255 Briargate Road.

For more information, call the Cary Park District at 847-639-6100 or visit www.carypark.com.
