Streaking Preds drop Sharks
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Joel Ward and David Legwand each had a goal and two assists, and the Nashville Predators beat the San Jose Sharks, 4-3, on Tuesday night for their third consecutive win and seventh in nine games.
Capitals 4, Rangers 2: At New York, Matt Bradley bounced back from having his face bloodied in a first-period fight to net the winning goal with 4:51 left, and Alex Ovechkin scored in his return from injury to lift Washington.
Canadiens 3, Hurricanes 2 (SO): At Montreal, Carey Price stopped all six Carolina attempts in the shootout, Maxim Lapierre scored the winner, and Montreal beat Carolina.
Senators 3, Maple Leafs 2: At Ottawa, Mike Fisher scored twice, and Ottawa beat Toronto.
Avalanche 3, Flames 2: At Calgary, Alberta, Milan Hejduk got the game-winner for Colorado.
