The White Sox avoided salary arbitration with two of their key players when they agreed to deals with Bobby Jenks and Carlos Quentin on Saturday.

Jenks will earn $7.5 million this season, while Quentin will earn $3.2 million. The only players on the Sox who remain eligible for arbitration are left-handed pitcher John Danks and right-handed reliever Tony Pena.

Jenks, 28, was 3-4 with a 3.71 ERA and 29 saves in 2009. He is third in Sox history with 146 saves, and he fell one save shy of his fourth consecutive 30-save season.

Quentin, 27, hit .236 with 21 home runs and 56 RBIs in 99 games in 2009. He missed nearly two months because of plantar fasciitis in his left foot, which spoiled the momentum of a strong first season on the South Side. Quentin hit .288 with 36 home runs and 100 RBIs in 2008.
