Bears rookie Johnny Knox has been named to next week's Pro Bowl as a kick returner.

Knox is the first Bears rookie to be named to the Pro Bowl since Devin Hester accomplished the feat as a kick returner during the 2006 season. Knox will replace Minnesota’s Percy Harvin, who is not able to play because of an injury.

Knox returned 32 kickoffs for 927 yards this season, and his 29-yard return average was second in the NFL. In Week 4 against Detroit, the Abilene Christian alum returned a kickoff 102 yards for a touchdown, which marked the second-longest kickoff return in franchise history.

The Pro Bowl will take place Jan. 31 in South Florida, a week before the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints meet in Super Bowl XLIV.
