ALDEN – McHenry County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who robbed an Alden store Friday night.

The suspect walked into the Alden Quick Mart, 16420 Route 173, shortly after 7 p.m. Wearing an orange ski mask and sunglasses, the man brandished a black gun and demanded money. He then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, McHenry County Sheriff Sgt. Daniel Patenaude said.

Investigators believe the suspect was about 5-foot-10 with an average build. He was dressed in a dark green hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head. The suspect had on black gloves, jeans, and white gym shoes.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the detective division at 815-338-2144.
