The Bears signed a pair of receivers to bolster their depth chart this week.

Tight end Richard Angulo and wide receiver Eric Peterman each signed one-year deals with the Bears, although terms of their deals were not disclosed. Both players are expected to compete for roster spots during the preseason.

Angulo, 29, has appeared in 27 NFL games with the St. Louis Rams, Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars. The former seventh-round draft choice from Western New Mexico has 17 receptions for 155 yards and a touchdown in parts of four NFL seasons.

Peterman, 23, is a familiar face in the Bears' locker room. The Northwestern alum spent the entire preseason with the Bears and joined the practice squad for the final week of the season.

The Bears plan to start the preseason with an 80-man roster before trimming it to 53 players for the start of the regular season.
