The Bears tendered contract offers to five restricted free agents and three exclusive-rights free agents before the NFL's free agent signing period starts at 11:01 p.m. Thursday.

The Bears tendered one-year offers to restricted free agents Mark Anderson, Josh Bullocks, Danieal Manning, Nick Roach and Jamar Wiliams. That means the Bears can match any offer that is made to the five players or receive draft compensation if they go elsewhere.

Meanwhile, the Bears tendered one-year offers to exclusive-rights free agents Kahlil Bell, Tim Shaw and Matt Toeaina. Other NFL teams will not be able to extend offers to the trio.
