Metal falls through roof of Carpentersville home

CARPENTERSVILLE – Authorities in Carpentersville said the Federal Aviation Administration would try to determine whether a 3˝-pound piece of metal that fell through the roof of home Friday came from an aircraft.

Carpentersville Police Cmdr. Tim Bosshart said it was unclear whether the metal actually came from an aircraft. No one was hurt in the incident.
