Sun City Del Webb resident Bob Hurrie will host a free genealogy seminar next week, reviewing ways to obtain information to complete family genealogy projects and providing resources.

The event will take place at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 24 in the lower-level community room of American Community Bank, 10101 Route 47, Huntley.

Hurrie has been active for the last two years in tracing his family ancestry back to Charlemagne, a medieval king born in the year 742. He is a member of The International Society of the Descendants of Charlemagne, as well as many other societies.

Hurrie will offer family history sheets, enabling participants to collect and input data in gathering an expanded family history.  He also will discuss resources available through local library systems.

Attendees are invited to bring questions and any history they may have already collected to the seminar. This program might become regularly scheduled in the future.

To register for the class, contact Hurrie by calling 847-515-7455 or e-mailing arhurrie@yahoo.com by Monday.
