Broken promises

To the Editor:

California and Greece stand as stark epitaphs to the utter stupidity, misguided doctrines of tax-and-spend socialism that begets bankruptcy, broken promises and a dependent citizenry.

Our Founders mutually pledged and dutifully gave their lives and personal fortunes in dedication to the genius of self-governance guaranteeing limitless opportunity for every citizen with a work ethic willing to risk failure in pursuit of the American dream. In doing so, those first patriots consecrated their sacred honor, thoroughly devoted to a most noble cause larger than themselves.

Unfortunately, 45 years of destructive liberalism, nurturing costly, ineffective welfare policies and perpetuating an inept education system totally bereft of the priceless heritage of American exceptionalism, has given us generations of dependent, complacent malcontents somehow convinced that this great nation owes them something.

Today’s tea-party patriots rise against this tidal wave of self-inflicted mediocrity, fed by the lies of disingenuous political correctness and foolish government pledges of “equal outcomes.”  Incumbent liberal Democrats and “rino” Republicans, now exposed as pitiful phonies and self-absorbed empty suits, sprint for the tall grass in order to preserve their pathetic careers.

November’s midterm elections cannot possibly get here too soon.
