Woman ordered to prison in toddler’s death

EDWARDSVILLE – A southwestern Illinois woman has been sentenced to five years in prison for her role in the 2007 death of her toddler.

Twenty-six-year-old Linsey Eyer of Alton was sentenced Tuesday in Madison County, nearly three months after she pleaded guilty to a charge of endangering a child’s life.

Authorities said Eyer neglected to seek help for her beaten, dying child, 2-year-old Maxwell Eyer.
