Fire starts at Dura-Bar factory

About 60 employees were evacuated from Dura-Bar manufacturing plant in Woodstock about 7:45 p.m. after a dust collector caught fire, Supervisor Dan Markovetz said. Woodstock firefighters immediately responded to the scene at 1800 W. Lake Shore Drive before calling a box alarm for additional aid from area fire departments about 9:30 p.m. Crews still were working at the scene late Thursday. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was unknown.
