Oakwood Hills to host classic car show

OAKWOOD HILLS – The village of Oakwood Hills will host a classic car show Saturday.

Registration for cars, motorcycles and trucks is from 9 to 11 a.m. The show will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.

The event, dubbed the Armed Forces Tribute Car Show, is a fundraiser for construction of a village tribute to past, present and future soldiers that will be located at Oakwood Hills Village Hall. Those showing cars in the event are asked to make a $15 donation, said John Theiss, Oakwood Hills village president.

The show will feature trophies in several categories, including kids' choice, police chief's choice (most likely to be pulled over), president's choice and participants' choice. A combat-flown U.S. flag will be raffled. Music and food will be provided by Tony V's.

The show will be at Oakwood Hills Park. For information, visit
