HUNTLEY – Crystal Lake South’s Tom Gerszewski (140 pounds) and Jake Peters (145) earned back-to-back pins in a 37-21 Fox Valley Conference victory against Huntley on Thursday.
Nick Fontanetta (103) also won by fall, and Nick Gil (125) won by major decision for South.
J.J. Martinez (112) got the Red Raiders’ lone pin, with Lucas Rogers (135), Matt Zeis (215) and Josh LaLuz (285) each winning by decision.
Johnsburg 45, Woodstock 21: At Woodstock, Bobby McKay (125 pounds) won a 3-2 decision for the Skyhawks in their FVC win.
Joe Hunt (130) and Matt Swedberg (160) each recorded pins for the Blue Streaks, and Drew Walkington (189) won a 6-4 decision in overtime.
Prairie Ridge 57, Woodstock North 20: At Crystal Lake, George Frost (215 pounds), Mike Lung (171), Derek Hauser (140), Brian Cullen (119) and Eric English (112) recorded pins for the Wolves in their FVC win.
Nick Conliss (285) and Chris Wallace (160) each got falls for the Thunder.
McHenry 65, Jacobs 12: At McHenry, the Warriors got falls from Mike Sikula (112 pounds), Mike Infelise (119), Nick Collins (125), Tony Lopez (130), Pat Casagrande (160), Marco Delgadillo (189), Kody Olejniczak (189), Jeff Nykaza (215) and Angel Hernandez (285) in an FVC win.
Collin Zaio (140) won by fall for the Golden Eagles.
Stillman Valley 42, Marengo 32: At Marengo, Angel Botzoc (189 pounds) and Henry Larson (152) earned major decisions for the Indians, and Manny Macias (285) recorded a fall in 4:32 in a Big Northern Conference loss.
Rockford Lutheran Triangular: At Rockford, Alden-Hebron lost to Marian Central, 42-14, and Rockford Lutheran, 36-30. Justin Gricar (125) recorded pins in both matches, and Tyler Henken (135) picked up a technical fall and a forfeit.
Jared Koch (189) and Scott Taylor (285) had pins for Marian against A-H.
Jacobs 2,543, Woodstock 2,358: At Woodstock, Sarah Siska bowled a 246 high game and 594 series for the Golden Eagles in their win. Lynea Steig had a 192 game and 526 series for Woodstock.
Huntley 2,463, Dundee-Crown 2,097: At Huntley, Amy Antczak led the Red Raiders with a 232 game and 600 series in their win. Marie Braun bowled a 188 game and a 510 series for the Chargers.
