BARRINGTON – Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital is offering the prestigious Future Healthcare Professionals program to high school juniors interested in health-related careers.
The Future Healthcare Professionals program offers observation experiences in hospital departments including nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapies, radiology, pharmacy, dietary and laboratory.
Additional information includes future job outlook, education required for specific health care professions, and projected annual salaries.
The Future Healthcare Professionals program meets for four weeks from June 20 to July 15. The program runs eight hours a day, Monday through Friday, with no vacation or personal days permitted. The program is unpaid.
Eight students will be selected for the program by interview, teacher/counselor recommendation, written essay, past experiences and grade-point average.
