Police: 23 storage units burglarized in Cary

CARY – More than 20 self-storage units at Lake Julian Storage in the village were burglarized between Sunday and Monday, police said.

Between 9 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday, the locks on 23 storage units at 65 S. Northwest Highway were forcibly removed, a Cary Police Department news release said.

Property was stolen from some, but not all of the units, the release said.

As of Monday evening, police were notifying storage unit renters.

Police ask that anyone with information regarding these burglaries or who witnessed suspicious activity in the area of Lake Julian Storage, contact Cary Police at 847-639-2341 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-762-STOP.

CrimeStoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the individuals responsible.
