South Poms compete in TV contest

Crystal Lake South High School's Varsity Poms were featured on ABC 7 Chicago's Tuesday morning broadcast as part of a contest to find the area's best dance team.
The Gators Poms squad held a pep rally at the school as part of the TV station's Dance Team Dance Off. Parents and students packed the school gym to watch performances by the Varsity Poms, cheerleaders, and others.
South will be competing against the Lake Park High School Lancettes, Maine South High School Hawkettes and Eisenhower High School Cardinal Dance Team in the Dance Off.
ABC 7 Chicago will feature each team's performance on its program this week and let viewers vote for the best one. Voting at www.abc7chicago.com will go from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17. The winner will be announced Friday.
The website will feature videos from all competitors. Photos from the event have been posted on the "ABC 7 Chicago News This Morning" Facebook page.
