Crimestoppers pays out for tip after arrests made

CARY – The Cary-Grove Crimestoppers Organization made an anonymous payout of $350 recently to a community member who gave a tip, which led to three arrests, a news release from the organization said.

As a result of information phoned in to Crimestoppers' toll free number, three individuals were arrested on drug charges, the release said.

The charges included delivery of a controlled substance – a Class 1 felony; possession of a controlled substance – a Class 4 felony; obstruction of justice – a Class 4 felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia – a Class A misdemeanor.

Residents of the Cary and Fox River Grove area can call Crimestoppers toll free at 1-800-762-7867 to report information that might help solve or prevent local crimes. Calls can be anonymous.
