CARY – Lori Olsen of the Cary Band Association recently let the Northwest Herald know that two Cary Junior High School band students, Elizabeth Dopke (French horn) and Christopher Olsen (trumpet) made the Illinois Music Educators Assocation band.

The IMEA sponsors and organizes performance festival experiences for student musicians from across the state.

There were also two Cary-Grove High School band students who made the IMEA band at the high school level, Olsen said. They were Bobby Lane (trumpet) and Parker Tweeten (clarinet).

Lane also made the IMEA SR Jazz band, Olsen said.

Both the Cary Junior High and Cary-Grove High School are in IMEA District 7.
