Bond set at $1M for weekend shooting

WOODSTOCK – The bond was set at $1 million today for one of the men charged in a shooting incident over the weekend.

Armando Ferral-Mujica, 20, is being held at the McHenry County Jail in lieu of the bond.

The second man charged, Armando's brother Orlando Ferral-Mujica, 31, remains in police custody at Centegra Hospital – McHenry. He was treated at the hospital for injuries he suffered during the attack. His bond has not yet been set.

The two men were charged with five felonies, including attempted first-degree murder, in connection with an attack Saturday that happened at a parking lot at 3701 James St. in McHenry.

The male victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, and severe cuts to the head, neck and hands.

Police have not released the victim's name, but McHenry Deputy Police Chief John Birk said the man was in fair but stable condition after emergency surgery at Centegra Hospital – McHenry.
