WOODSTOCK – The Association of School Business Officials International (IASBO) has once again honored District 200.

Chief Financial Officer Risa Hanson has been notified that the district has earned its 10th Meritorious Budget Award. District 200 has achieved this significant accomplishment every year since 2002.

The Meritorious Budget Award was designed by ASBO International and school business management officials to enable school business administration to achieve excellence in budget presentation. The award is only conferred to school systems that have met or exceeded rigorous standards of school budgeting and business management. District 200 was one of only 12 school districts in Illinois to receive last year’s Meritorious Budget Award.

The ASBO Review Team submitted the following overall summary of the district’s budget: “The document provides sufficient information for the lay person as well as the detail-oriented expert to understand the budgeting process used by the school district and detailed information about the various funds and their uses. The school district is to be complimented for its efforts.”

In addition to the 10 Meritorious Budget Awards, District 200 has also earned 11 consecutive Certificates of Excellence in Financial Reporting from ASBO.
