WOODSTOCK – Fifteen Marian students were recently inducted as new members into the Tri-M (Modern Music Masters) Music Honor Society.  The new members are:

Yair Agosto (Woodstock); Pamela Atadero (Algonquin); Bethany Bucci (Woodstock); Lisa DiGirolamo (Barrington Hills); Kyle Dionela (McHenry); Anthony Fitzpatrick (Lakewood); Ashley Graf (Woodstock); Lisbeth Hernandez (Crystal Lake); Jessica Jenkner (Algonquin); Austin Lee (Lakewood); Patrick Manion (Algonquin); Caitlin McKenna (Marengo); Robert Morehead (Bull Valley); Kailyn Teeter (Lake in the Hills); and Brandon Wiener (Algonquin) .

The ceremony was held in the school auditorium and included a brief biography of each new member’s musical accomplishments. The evening concluded with refreshments and pictures.

Tri-M is an international music honor society for high school music students that motivates and recognizes musical achievement. Its mission is to increase student and school involvement with music and to strengthen and unify the school music program. To gain acceptance into the organization, students must have a 3.0 GPA, participate in the IHSA Solo and Ensemble Contest, and volunteer within their community. The new members’ talents range from instrumental to vocal musicianship.
