Skyhawks can’t sustain rally

FOX LAKE – Johnsburg’s boys basketball team looked set to take over the game near the end of the third quarter.

They turned it on with a 12-2 run that gave them a 47-45 lead on Round Lake near the end of the third quarter Thursday at the Grant Holiday Tournament.

But as the final seconds of the third ticked down, Round Lake’s Daniel Uriostegui dribbled coast-to-coast to hit a runner in the lane at the buzzer to tie it. The wheels came off for the Skyhawks (4-6) in the fourth, and they lost, 65-57.
