Man gets 9 years for
2010 armed robberies

WOODSTOCK – A Walworth, Wis., man has been sentenced to nine years in prison in connection with two convenience store armed robberies in early 2010.

Seth D. Woodhouse, 20, pleaded guilty Friday to one count of armed robbery.

Woodhouse had been indicted on charges related to two armed robberies, the first of which was Jan. 29, 2010, at the Alden Quick Mart. The next day, police said, he robbed the Chemung Country Store. A pellet gun was used in both instances.

The nine-year sentence will be served simultaneously with an armed robbery sentence from Walworth County. Woodhouse’s maximum discharge date from prison in Wisconsin is in February 2020.

Another man, 21-year-old Ryan T. Severt, also was charged in the McHenry County robberies. His cases still are pending.
