Trivia bee to benefit literacy programs

ELGIN – Registration is under way for the 15th annual Trivia Bee fundraiser to support The Literacy Connection.

The bee will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 14 in the Fox River Room at Grand Victoria Casino. All trivia buffs are encouraged to set aside part of the day to compete or to watch this exciting, fun competition.

The contest raises money for The Literacy Connection’s programs and tests the capacity of participants to remember facts from a variety of categories. The event will include a raffle and a silent auction.

General admission to the Trivia Bee is $5 a person and includes refreshments.

Team members will receive one free admission ticket to share with family and friends as part of their $400 registration fee.

The Literacy Connection, an affiliate of ProLiteracy America Inc., and serves adults and young children in 16 communities, including Algonquin, Carpentersville, Cary, Elgin, South Elgin, East Dundee, West Dundee, Gilberts, Hampshire, Huntley and Lake in the Hills.
