Bulls: The week ahead

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

The beauty of the NBA's condensed regular-season schedule is that tough losses never linger.

The Bulls will have less than 24 hours to dwell on a hard-fought, 97-93 loss to the Miami Heat on Sunday afternoon. They have four road games this week, starting Monday at Washington.

Although the Bulls' loss to the Heat was disappointing, they remain the best team in the Eastern Conference with a 17-5 record. The Heat are next at 15-5, followed by the Atlanta Hawks (15-6), Philadelphia 76ers (14-6) and Indiana Pacers (13-6).

Here is a look at the week ahead for the Bulls.

Monday: at Washington Wizards, 6 p.m.

Wednesday: at Philadelphia 76ers, 6 p.m.

Thursday: at New York Knicks, 7 p.m.

Saturday: at Milwaukee Bucks, 7:30 p.m.

The 76ers figure to pose the toughest test for the Bulls, while the talented but underachieving Knicks might provide the most intriguing matchup. The Bulls should be heavy favorites against the hapless Wizards, but they cannot afford to sleep against Scott Skiles' Bucks team.

If the Bulls win three out of four games on the road this week, they should be fine.
