CARY – District 26's Deer Path Elementary School, serving students through fifth grade this year, was awarded this week the Academic Excellence Award by the State Board of Education, a district news release said.
Notification of the award was sent to the district this week based on the performance of students last year on the Illinois State Assessment Test (ISAT).
