Hawks turn to Emery

Ray Emery will start the next game – and maybe more – in goal for the Blackhawks.

Hawks coach Joel Quenneville announced after Monday's practice that Emery would start Tuesday against the Colorado Avalanche. That will mark Emery's second consecutive start ahead of Corey Crawford, who allowed five goals in 43 minutes Thursday at Edmonton.

If Emery plays well Tuesday, he likely will remain in net Friday when the Hawks visit the San Jose Sharks. Crawford has allowed at least three goals in five of his past seven appearances, and his .900 save percentage this season is far worse than his .917 mark in 2010-11.
