Chamber announces awards winners

WOODSTOCK –  The Woodstock Chamber of Commerce & Industry celebrated its 67th Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday, Feb, 9,  at the Woodstock Public House. 

Winner of the 2011 Volunteer of the Year award was Jack Bechaud who, through his company The Social Networker, maintains the Chamber’s Facebook presence.

The 2011 Professional Service Provider of the Year award went to Noel Thelander of Edward Jones Investments. During the 2011 calendar year, Thelander presented a three part luncheon series for the Chamber entitled “A Woman’s Guide to Money Matters.”

The 2011 Industry of the Year honors went to Nierman Landscape & Design, which celebrated its 20th year in business in 2011. Also in 2011, Nierman Landscape and Design became an Executive Level member of the Chamber. Founder Tom Nierman is a past recipient of the Harold Buschkopf Community Service Award.

The 2011 Richard Neuffer Retailer of the Year award was presented to Interiors Anew, which celebrated their 17th year in business on the historic Woodstock Square.

Highlighting the evening was the presentation of the 2012 Buschkopf Community Service Award, which was awarded to Keith Johnson, market manager of the Woodstock Farmers Market.

“We are proud of all of our deserving award winners, who each served the Woodstock community in their own unique ways,” Chamber executive director Shari Gray said in a news release.
