Woman airlifted after Route 176 accident

A woman who was involved in a one-vehicle accident was taken to the hospital. Route 176 was closed between Route 47 and Haligus Road for at least three hours.

A woman who was involved in a one-vehicle accident today on Route 176 has been airlifted to the hospital.

People are advised to avoid Route 176 between Route 47 and Haligus Road for at least three hours because of the crash.

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office sent out a Nixle alert at 7:55 p.m. saying there was a crash, which led to the road closure west of Crystal Lake.

Police did not release the name of the woman, who was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center.
