In the spotlight: JellyBones (VIDEO)
Fans of Algonquin band revel in their ’60s psychedelic vibe
With a second album expected this summer, the JellyBones are bringing more of a pop feel to their music. But loyal fans can expect that 1960s psychedelic vibe that brought the band together and keeps them “spiraling happily out of control.”
“Loyal,” by the way, is about the only way to describe those fans.
“They do everything they can to be at every show... just overall, they’re cool cats,” said 22-year-old Geon Tillinghast, the band’s drummer.
Made up of five Algonquin natives, ranging in age from 17 to 22, JellyBones formed about two years ago with 20-year-old Frank Lintzeris as lead singer and main songwriter.
