Expanded local business coverage debuts
Beginning with Wednesday's newspaper, Northwest Herald's daily business coverage gets a new look, and more space.
You might have noticed in the past couple of weeks that the number of local stories dedicated to coverage of local business and economic news has increased on a daily basis. That's because we've added a local business reporter – Shawn Shinneman – to our team of journalists. Shawn is working with new Business Editor Chris Cashman and longtime Northwest Herald journalist Kurt Begalka to provide by far the most comprehensive coverage of the McHenry County business community.
In tomorrow's print edition, we give that expanded coverage a section cover with full color, and additional space inside. Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays Business pages will front our Classified section.
And we are adding a new, six-page standalone Business section to Thursday's edition. That's eight extra pages of business coverage a week, much of it dedicated to local business news.
We've already revamped our business page online. You can find it here.
