Workshops to explore paying for college
WOODSTOCK – Free workshops on getting money for college will take place at several sites in the area.
The workshops are:
• 7 p.m. April 25 at the Woodstock Public Library, 414 W. Judd St. in Woodstock.
• 7 p.m. May 3 at the Huntley Park District, 12015 Mill St. in Huntley.
• 7 p.m. May 9 at the Johnsburg Public Library, 3000 N. Johnsburg Road in Johnsburg.
• 7 p.m. May 14 at the Woodstock Public Library, 414 W. Judd St. in Woodstock.
Speaker Cory Freeman will discuss how to send children to the school of their dreams without going broke, how to triple eligibility for aid, how to find scholarships and grants, how to pay for college with no money out of pocket and how to pick the colleges that will give the most amount of money. He also will share the one mistake every parent makes when applying for scholarships.
Admission is free, but seating is limited to 25 because of the size of the room.
