College to host 2 concerts
CRYSTAL LAKE – McHenry County College will host a jazz concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday and an MCC band and chorus spring concert at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Both concerts will take place in the Luecht Conference Center at MCC, 8900 Route 14, Crystal Lake.
The Jazz Combo, directed by Thomas Takayama, will perform selections such as “Five Brothers” and “Walkin’ Shoes,” both by Gerry Mulligan; “Look To The Sky” by Antonio Carlos Jobim; “In Walked Bud” by Thelonious Monk; and “Freedom Jazz Dance” by Eddie Harris.
