Algonquin, Cary to share building commissioner

ALGONQUIN – The village has plans to allow Cary to use Algonquin’s building commissioner and plan review services when needed.

“Due to financial constraints and the slower building climate, the village of Cary has decided that they will be able to save resources by using the village of Algonquin chief building inspection official and plan review services rather than having their own officials or using an outside vendor for inspection services,” Algonquin Village Manager Bill Ganek wrote in a memo to the Village Board.

The Algonquin Village Board plans to vote on the agreement Tuesday.
