1 dead in shootings in same Chicago neighborhood
CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago authorities say a 21-year-old man is dead and two others injured after a series of shootings in the same neighborhood on the city's South Side.
Police haven't said all three shootings Saturday night were related. The Chicago Tribune reports all took place within blocks of each other during the same approximately two-hour period.
Officers found a man lying in the street around 9:30 p.m. with gunshot wound to the chest. The Cook County medical examiner's office pronounced him dead at the scene.
An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday.
Minutes later, a 16-year-old boy was shot and wounded in the leg. He was hospitalized and released.
A 22-year-old man was also shot in the leg around 7:30 p.m. He was also hospitalized and released.
No arrests have been made.
