Twitter Talk: MTV Movie Awards attendees thank fans

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

The MTV Movie Awards aired Sunday night. If you are not familiar with the awards show, it isn't exactly on par with the Oscars or Golden Globes.

Fans of the movies are allowed to vote for their favorites in each of the awards categories. So considering MTV's target audience, it should come as no surprise that "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1" was named movie of the year (take that "The Artist").

Some celebrities still show up to the event and act like its a legitimate awards ceremony. Here is what some of them were saying about last night's MTV Movie Awards on Twitter.

Elizabeth Banks ("Hunger Games")

@ElizabethBanks

"Thank you @MTV and #HungerGames FANS!! I got literally carried away before I could thank ya'll!!!"
