Pension problems
To the Editor:
Re: to Bill Enberg’s letter (May 25).
Enberg states that, because he pays obligatory taxes, he’s entitled to share the public pensions. Wrong. If that were true, then I would likewise be entitled to double the amount of what he would get since by his statement, I have paid twice, once as a taxpayer, obligatory, and once as an annuitant, having made payroll contributions twice a month for 36 years. That’s it, basic economics. You only get what you pay for, no more, no less.
